The water really is this color

Our house is on the hill to the right---you can see the roof of the porch. The small roof in the center of the picture is on our dock.

The rock just beyond the inflatable boat is called Clark Rock and it protects the dock from white caps coming from the east.

This picture was taken from the dock at Leverick Bay while waiting for the ferry to the airport on Beef Island.

Nice maps of the Caribbean

You can look here for some great maps of different Caribbean islands, including the BVI.

Here's the view from the house

Looking down to the dock and across the reef to the open ocean. This a very calm day in February 2005, during our first full week at the house. Spencer, our son, was with us waiting to see if he had a job back home. (That worked out fine)

We buy a house in the British Virgin Islands

Yes it's round. And not much had been done to it since it was built in the '70's, but this is the view from the dock, which means it is on the water and it has a wonderful view. One of the best features is on the covered section of the dock---a shower! With 4 to 5 feet of water off the dock the swimming is very nice and the shower is great for getting the salt off.

Looking down on Leverick Bay

This picture was taken from highest road on Virgin Gorda. Our house is the lower left of the picture and across the water is Prickly Pear beach, then Saba Rock and the Bitter End.

We found the house while sailing here three years ago. Our charter that year was two weeks long, which meant we had to do laundry. Leverick Bay has a laudromat and while waiting for the clothes to dry we began to appreciate this corner of the North Sound.
